My Approach
Therapy That Combines Insight and Action
My approach is warm and collaborative, informed by a decade of experience in private practice. I look forward to getting to know you, hearing your story, and creating a safe space in which you can share your struggles and hopes. I’ll also help you see your strengths and will be a voice of encouragement. I believe that understanding yourself is an important first step, but insight alone is not enough — meaningful change also requires action.
We’ll explore the experiences, patterns, and beliefs that shape how you relate to yourself and others. I’ll then offer practical tools and strategies that help you experiment with new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding.
Over time, these small shifts can create powerful change. Thanks to the brain’s ability to reorganize itself — known as neuroplasticity — new patterns can become lasting ones.
My Background and Education
A Unique Perspective
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent nearly two decades in leadership roles in the corporate world at companies including Procter & Gamble, Kraft, Quaker Oats, and PepsiCo and in my own marketing consulting practice.
That experience helped shape my approach to therapy. I’ll help you clarify your values, priorities, and goals and work with you to build an effective strategy to move in the direction you want. I also understand firsthand the pressures, expectations, and challenges professionals face and bring an empathetic approach to helping my clients.
Outside of work, I love meditating, reading, exercising, nature, spending time with friends, traveling, and continually learning about psychology, neuroscience, and mindfulness. On my “wish list” is relearning how to play the piano and the guitar. I’m also married and the parent of two college-aged kids.
